Lovely line work!
I love the alternating color tones spiral, its execution is really, REALLY good! The use of textures is also on point and something I haven't personally seen in a long time. There's only one thing bothering me a bit - her left thumb - I can't imagine anyone being able to stretch their thumb over their fist like that, without dislocating the joint. That said, I still think it's awesome, and the curved edges of the frame are a nice touch. Well done!
What a beautiful piece!
AWESOME !!! Greetings from Mexico
Thank you - I feel very privileged and honoured to collaborate with you for these commissions.
do you ever show your method? process, im interested.
Thanks, These will suffice. I was very curious, because I played dragon age: Inquisition many months ago, And I wanted to understand how the cards are designed or a method to go about one day.
It's interesting tho that the original cards are the mix of multiple styles and it created a new, "card" style. And it's interesting to analyze how it works: what's the main composition style of cards, which is very geometrical in it's nature, palettes and details, how they're using patterns, trying to recreate their brushes, also understanding both DA and tarot symbolism, all this. And I noticed each DA fan artist using their own way for recreating this style and this creates even more individual "card" styles. Bioware did a truly great job.
I've always loved the dragon age card art. Such a great job!
ooooooooooooooo this is fantastic :3
